67 substitute TI Coil

Any suggestions on an aftermarket coil for a TI. I hear the correct number repos have a reliability problem. This car is for driving and not for judging. Just want a reliable coil for the TI system

Contact David Sokoloski.
He runs ads in the Driveline.
Last time I spoke to him, he had a whole box of TI coils that he had just tested as good.
I know he has a bunch of the service replacements ( ie 207 coils) if you don't care about the proper number.....
I think he told me $250?

After talking with TI ignition experts, there are no recommendations for aftermarket coils. Your best bet is to buy a service replacement 207 coil from GM. The silkscreened coils are usually less costly than the embossed ones. These provide the adequate characteristics to have the TI system function properly. That was the advice I was provided when looking.

Thanks for the suggestions. Back in the 70's I ran an aftermarket on a TI and it worked great. Feeble mind can't remember who made the coil back in the day.
