What is the CW about when J56 brakes became available on the 1964 MY cars?

Mike, In conversations I had with Franz about the Red/White American Heritage car we sent through, He indicated that Jan 1 was the date for 64 Big Brakes. Have you found a car earlier?

No, I haven't, but one of my '64s with J56 was VIN 12XXX, built in early Feb. 1964, and it had a letter from GM apologizing for the delay in the car that was ordered as a Z06 equipped car earlier in the MY by a GM exec that indicated availability of the necessary equipment for the options was not possible until late January/February. Actually this thread from the past goes through all that pretty well, with some famous Corvette people contributing. I was researching whether a very early 1964 MY car could have J56, now I think that is not possible........https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthre...page2&p=448903
