What's the points hit for converting a 69 clock to electric movement?

    Guys,

I'm having problems with my 69 clock that has stopped working. The clock quit after the battery died and was dead for a couple of months during the resto. This will be the 3rd or fourth time the clock has been out for service. I'm going the pull it out to have it fixed (again) but I'm wondering if I should give up and convert it to electric movement. I know a broken clock is a 25 point hit on operations but how much of a hit is it if I convert it? I'm just about done with these fickle quartz clocks.

Guess I'm getting it fixed then. Thanks Don.

If 25 points is the focus, then tear the dash apart and fix the clock, knowing in a couple of years you'll do this again.

I went quartz because I wanted a clock that works and to minimize the number of times the dash is torn apart.

My 72 clock is original to the car, been cleaned twice in 50 years. Just passed operations in Mobile no deductions.

Wow Ed I think that’s definitely not the norm. Once I have finished with having it judged I will also convert it to stop the hassles.

Quartz is also an automatic failure PV failure if a PV is in your future.
