Was there a condenser on all C2's(With Radio's) Turn Signal Flashers?

Kinda a mystery part. A Quote from the past from John Hinckley>

"You won't find the capacitor on any wiring diagrams, but it's always shown in an illustration in the U69 (radio) section in the Assembly Manual"

Is there one for sure on all Radio 66 Corvette cars? Is this part judged? Thanks>Larry

P.S. Have seen these for sale and are very pricey!

Still looking for some answers. Where they on all 66 Radio cars or are some radio cars seen w/o them?
Has anybody had points taken off on this item when being judged? ANYBODY?? Thanks>Larry

I can't speak to C2s, but C3s with radios were supposed to have the capacitor(s) as shown in the U69 section of the AIMs. That was typical factory production. We have (on C3s) sometimes seen these capacitors on cars that were not equipped with radios, indicating that the line workers installed the capacitors on all cars, perhaps by force of habit. However that leads one to the conundrum of what constitutes typical factory production.

I suggest you take your question to the appropriate National Team Leader. Here you will get opinions that won't count for much (just like mine) on the judging field.

Thanks to all that responded. Looks like "we will have to pay the piper, and the price is apt to be a high one".
