    1955 Oil Filler Tube?

    The 1955 Corvette parts book has the oil filler tube as part number 3711724. This tube has a bracket for the accelerator spring. No photos of 1955 Corvette engines use this spring. The 1955 spring attaches to the kick-down linkage bracket. Anybody know why?
