    C2 original vs. CC replacement

I have noticed a couple of differences between my original sun visors on my '65 cpe and the new set that I bought from CC. <br />
First the CC version doesn't have the fastener near the pivot arm like my original. Secondly the metal clip is a different length. Should I install the CC replacement or search for exact design or install the fastener and install it ?

What color sun visors do you have? I would try to locate an original pair of sun visors if your originals are not in good condition.

Bright blue. I have a photo but haven't learned how to post it. My pic has the original beside the CC version.

        Gene,
Are you sure they sent you coupe visors and not convertible visors? They are completely different. See below.

        Coupe visors:

Lief, I compared my original visors and the repro from CC. The repro is shaped like the pic you sent me. My concern is that the CC repro is not really a correctly detailed as the original.

I have yet to see any sunvisor from any source that is correctly done for any Corvette.
That's a broad statement, but from the cars I have seen seems to be correct.

Patrick, I know that i am picky in most areas but if a company is going to repro an item and especially us NCRS guys that they would go extra steps to design them exactly to original. Just my 2 cents

I would agree. Getting a part right really doesn't take that much extra effort most of the time.
The problems is that "us NCRS guys" are a small part of the market.
Most people seem to just be happy that they can get "a" replacement even if not completely correct.

But most would not pay the huge extra cost to be a perfect reproduction.
