Some Notes For The People Responseable For The 66 Judging Manual

Like to share a few things I found with my original 66 Base Engine Coupe. Getting it ready for judging next year. Working
on the interior(Rear Compartments). Car is pretty much original with varified born with engine/protecto plate/all original
LOF dated glass are some examples. Car is a very very early car in production>born 9/20/65. I presume some 65 parts are
on my car from the factory. Here goes>

All my Labels/Instruction on the backside of the board are on the "Passenger Side". The judging manual indicates the placement
of these labels are "somewhat consistent" so other way is OK as I read it. The JP Stevens tag#3878988 is there but date is
covered up by another Label. Will leave this alone and will not touch.

My jack(looks new;hardly ever used) has the "A" stamped on it from the Ausco Co. The one thing different is that the "U"
bracket on mine is not turned inward; it is outward. (Perhaps a leftover from the 65 model?)

The Jack retainer Spring has ONE single hook.

The wheel wrench does not have a 1/4" stamped hole and no "O" stamped on its side. (Again a leftover from the 65?)

On my original lead hammer(P48)(Well used)it does have the two 3/8" holes but shows the handle to be "welded" at the
junction. Note>Judging Manual indicated they have seen them this way but can not be affirmed at this time.

Larry, you should probably be directing your questions/comments to the 1966 National Team Leader, as he is the final authority. His contact information can be found on the website or every issue of The Restorer magazine on the inside front cover.

Thanks Vinnie; will do that. BTW: Correction on the above; the decals/labels are on the "Drivers Side" not
the "Passenger Side" as indicated. (Looked at the board wrong) Thanks>Larry

        Larry,

        1. What has been observed on one or more Bowtie-awarded cars.
        2. What has been observed on multiple, unrestored cars, but not Bowtie awardees per se.
        3. Observations from people who witnessed the assembly process first hand, e.g., John Hinckley for C2.
        4. Photos of cars on the St. Louis production line.
        5. Written documentation such as from the AIM, Technical Service Bulletins, etc.

          [QUOTE=Gary Beaupre (28818);919002]Larry,

          Gary: Thanks for the response.

"So, if you really want to affect a change," >Don't want a change; just wanted to share a few unique
items from a unique build date car. As indicated my car is a very very early 66 model. (9/20/65) There
never was another car built this way as every early model change build has unique previous model
(In this case 1965) parts in it. eg.>Just because I got a certain 65 part does not mean the car built just before mine or the next built after mine had these parts on it. JMHO>Larry
