    1963 Radiator tag confusion.

I have been over the JM and it states early cars had the sticker on the coolant supply tank.
Later cars have the sticker on the Left side of the radiator.

Some even mention two different style stickers on this forum. I know it's and old post and information is much more up to date.
C1 & C2 Corvettes - Shot of radiator stickers '63 327/300 - Can someone send a photo or description of the radiator sticker(s) for 63 327/300. I had the radiator repainted, and going to the Nor Cal NCRS Judging meet on Saturday, just finishing up with some details. I will post my thoughts on the event when I return,...

This same post referenced this from an old mag article.

It's possible the picture indicates two stickers but the one the the coolant supply tank it too difficult to make out for sure.
My sticker is from defunct LIC. The directions they included had been copied too many times to be of any help.

    So I have tow questions.
    1. Are there two style stickers?
    2. "Where to they go"? Under the coolant supply tank strap on the supply tank?

Just another 63 conundrum. Seems to be no end to them.

Rich, there are some problems with switch over dates. On just about any model years except maybe later years, the picture is hard to make out it almost looks like a reflection. The car is a early car as noted by the top housing and no flag.the paper tag and the foil tags changed during the year . since most car the radiators were replaced, if you have proof use that or just go by the JM. Maybe post your date when you was manufactured, someone may have a original tag(s).

      Ed, appreciated the input.

      After searching I found some additional information in the forum;

JM says cars before Dec 1962 had the label on the expansion tank.
My car is a late Dec car.
The label now resides on the radiator.

I have attached a copy of the LIC document that came with the sticker.

Can't make heads or tails of it.
The LIC document does credit Vette Vues Fact Book, Corvette Restoration.

Richard, as Ed noted "or just go by the JM" as long has nothing gets destroyed.
(Any point deduction will be minor)

Put question on back burner, things like this take some serious time especially for 63's
Who knows, an article may come of it! Look through Noland's Book for pictures of 63 cars

Just posting some higher resolution 1963 engine compartment images I had... attached via a PDF, to keep the better quality.
These come from 1963 road tests... the first is from Motor Trend (as seen above), and 2 others from the Revs Digital Library.
(you'll even notice some 'snow' in the Revs images)

            Thanks Jack.
            The pictures were great.
I can easliy see both tags on the radiator and the coolant supply tank.

And smoking while working on a fuelie.
Don't think that would publish as well as it used to.
Even has his pack in his shirt pocket.
            Take Care.

Happy to assist, Richard... the Revs website is a GREAT resource, but very seldom utilized.
I've been recommending it for several years... even purchased some images for research projects.

Another person contacted me offline... I zoomed & enhanced the expansion tank label, as an illustration.
Check out this PDF attachment... you can even read the text on the label:
