Several weeks ago, I posted a question about repairing the seatbelt warning light on my 1972. I received very useful advice but was warned that finding an NOS relay would be difficult A very nice person emailed me that he had one and quoted a fair price. I agreed, but he would accept no payment until it had been verified to work. After all, this is an electrical component that has been stored for who knows how long.
The relay has now been installed and I held my breath when the switch was activated. The warning light went out in a timely manner just as designed. It actually took longer to reattach the dash panel than anything else. Many thanks to everyone here who helped in this process, especially the man who did not know me but trusted that I would send payment after the fact.
