Yep I was correct. I did have the metal plate thingy. I guess it's a warranty card. See attached pics. I also have all the service records from the car dating back to the 70's. I guess the original owner was a stickler for saving things.

For a guy that lost his tank sticker, you did pretty well finding the window sticker and POP.

Yeah I'm thankful I have these docs after the fiasco that was the start of this restoration. I also have the original owners manual and several original advertising brochures that the original owner must have taken home with him from the dealer when the car was purchased.
