Guys,
I'm looking to set up my car with a second set of factory style rims for my 69. I'm going to run rallys for my daily driver and wheel covers (as delivered) for judging. I'm looking online for a source for these rims and wondering if the new rims sold by some will look similar (date codes aside) to my factory rims. I'm missing my spare so to have the correct date code there I have to get a replacement for one of the rims to use an original one for the spare. I noticed that the 15X8 rims sold online list a 4.25" backspacing but the JG says the factory rims are 4" backspacing. I'm sure I can use these for the rallys, but for the wheelcover set, where only one rim will be a replacement, Can I use this new wheel with the 4.25 backspacing? Or do I need to hunt around for a period correct rim that has the 4" backspacing? thanks for your input.
Mike
