1972 seatbelt light not extinguishing

I got my 1972 home yesterday after hiring someone to complete the restoration Dick and I had begun. The car is an early one,
which does not have the seatbelt sensor, and the light on the dash is not timing out. Is there a fix that does not include tearing into the dash again?

I'd say probably not but it isn't too bad getting to it. The timer is behind the passenger side lower dash. Biggest problem is getting a new one. Not reproduced so you'd be looking for a NOS one. The number for it is 3961500. here's a link to what they look like:

I feared as much, Tom. Thanks for the photos to help me search for one. I may just choose to live with it for now since my car is a driver.

They come up for sale every now and then. Fortunately it's not a 1 (partial) year corvette only part.
It was used on other chevy models as far back as '70 I think. Finding one shouldn't be nearly as bad as finding a correctly dated carb for an october build, LS5, automatic car. Believe it or not, I actually found one : )
