I am finishing a 1957, early March Corvette. I have Briggs Stratton Octagon head key. The knock out is not stamped. My locksmith said the cut on the key from shoulder to tip is 123523. I am looking for information referencing the GM 4 digit knock out code to that cut. Have any of you come across such a cross reference. Thank you in advance for your help. John Goedeken

Re: 1957 key knock out code, 4 digit 1/16 inch font
Thank you Brian and Gary. I will follow up. The locks are original and all working. I am sure the code is on the ignition cylinder. I had them all out during the restoration but every thing is in place and working and I've learned thru the years once you've got something working correctly leave it alone. Thanks much. If I have problems from here I will be inquiring. John- Top

Re: 1957 key knock out code, 4 digit 1/16 inch font
If the key woks the glove box lock as it should, this one is very easy to remove and get the code from the cylinder. Much easier than the other locks.
