69 upper seat back stop questions

pics show stop that was/is on my 6/79 L46 convertible. AIM and Judging guide say that I was supposed to have plastic bumpers attached with screws where mine is. Do you know if these unique bolts originally came with a plastic cover or were they just the large steel head used to stop the seat? If so, would you know where I could get the bumper covers to go over my bolts?

I am certain that my seats are original to the car. The seat covers were stamped 3-69 on the inside. The frame has welded nut to accept the bolt. No indication that it was modified from a screw configuration. I ordered a bumper set for a 69 but what I got was smaller and with sheet metal screws. Perhaps an earlier configuration?

    Thanks much,

    Rich

I believe there were at least 2 designs for the seat back stops for 1969. The style you show is exactly the type that was originally installed on my original owner 1969. There definitely was a rubber bumper that was installed over the head of the stop. These did not last very long as they were rather quickly broken up in service. I do not know where to get replacements.
