Rear Flexible Brake Line Block Clip Finish?

What is the correct finish for the rear rubber brake line block horse shoe clips? Clear/silver zinc or black phosphate? This is for a 1965.

Jim does the current judging manual spell it out, I know that the 63 says Blake phosphate.

The current '65 TIMJG mentions the "horse shoe" clip but does not specify the finish. In the black and white picture in the TIMJG it looks black. The reproductions from ZIP have are clear/silver zinc finish and do not have the letter "L" stamped on them like the original ones.

Black phosphate.
I usually strip the finish and then recolor with black phosphate for a judged car.

For a daily driver I just install them.

This is a single repaint unrestored car that I have had the trailing arms and differential rebuilt so that it can be driven to the NCRS meets. I plan to replate the originals with black phoshate. I want to keep as original as possible.

No problem.

FYI for those who wish to know, some reproductions are finished in what appears to be more of a black zinc, i.e. shinier than black phosphate.
They may not judge incorrectly at some meets, but still are not entirely correct.
