Just replaced the removable rear window seal in my 69 Coup. Latches and lower mounting hardware are original to the car but now I cannot get the window to latch. Latches just don't seem to want to close even with a lot of force? Suggestions? Thanks

Re: 69 Rear Window Install
Have you put anything on the aluminum frame to lubricate it against the rubber?
Meaning, there is a lot of friction between the new rubber seal and the frame due to slippage or lack there of when the latches are being tripped and the glass is being wedged into position. A little soapy water, however there is a weatherstrip lubricant from 3in1 oil - I believe I got it in the RV section at Walmart.

Re: 69 Rear Window Install
Thanks James, will try that this pm.
Brad is my son and I think we met at the regional. I have another project that needs help. Does your company do work on c-3 vets? We have restored a 73 BB coup but need a shop to do the engine start, tuning, etc. Anyone you can recommend. Thanks, Lynn Schwebach- Top
