Thanks for the report. I surprised they did that well. I know several (Including Me) more would have gone
IF the meet was scheduled a little later in the year. It just too early in the year for a lot of owners. We had
snow on the ground an even month ago in N. Illinois. Most Corvette owners are just NOW getting their cars
out of Winter Storage. It takes me about 3 to 4 weeks(One Man Show) to get the car in shape for a judging meet when one
considers to go and fix all "operations"/cleaning/possible parts buying/and etc. along with doing the same for your trailer. Of course
        this is JMHO>Larry

Thank you for bringing your 1954, and for the excellent C1 presentation. I learned a lot and I am sure others did as well.

It was a good time visiting a nice small town with some outstanding restaurants and history. The town sure rolled out the red carpet for us. Driscoll Chevrolet was great host. I haven't seen them, but I am told they have a number of pictures of our event on their Facebook page.

I will call you for a visit in the next week or two. I am looking forward to that.

It was a really good judging meet. Thanks to the Illinois Chapter for doing such a great job and for making this Nebraska lad feel so welcome!

Also, thanks to Chris for a super interesting presentation on the early C1's. This was my second time sitting in on the presentation and I gained even more info. After I had returned home, I saw a photo of the engine compartment of an early C1 and noticed the expansion tank did not have any ribs. I knew I was looking at a '53.

Pontiac was a great venue and Gary and the staff at Driscoll Motors could not have have been more inviting. Several of us at at Bob and Ringo's downtown Friday night. The service was excellent and the food was delicious and the portions were large.
