    what is the proper sequence for installing radiator and shroud in a 67 big block? Not working out for me so far

    This is what I remember when I did my car. The hood was off the car. The rad and shroud go in together as one piece. It's a good idea to protect the rad with a piece of cardboard, but that's up to you. The alternator, fan and fan clutch need to be removed as well as the smog pump if equipped. I think I had to remove one of the upper control arm nuts on the passenger side for clearance. If your car doesn't have air conditioning I don't think you will have to. Two people should then be able to work the rad/shroud into place. Others may have better ideas.
