Quick question. Do all 69 4 speeds have the date and vin stamped on the passenger side of the tranny? Someone is telling me that they can be on either side. I have never seen this but he is supposedly somewhat of a vette expert.

Dave, is he a self proclaimed expert? Could he be referring to the tag on the shifter fork plate? To my knowledge all Muncie are on the passenger side just like mine here. -

No, he was talking about the vin stamp and the date stamp. Maybe earlier vettes had one on each side but all 69s that I've seen including my numbers matching 69 has both on the passenger side.Comment
