    Oil Cannister Assembly order

I have a 67 corvette and doing the rebuild on an oil cannister anyone know the order. I have copper washer on outside. Inside spring first then washer, rubber grommet, and cone. The lock ring or retainer clip does it go flat part up or down?

    Shane,
Before you assemble the filter, could you please measure the washer and rubber grommet for me? Since no one sells the rebuild kit anymore I am going to make do with what I can make. I just need their dimensions.

The inside diameter of the flat washer on the outside of cannister is 5/8”. Outside diameter is an 1 and 1/4”. Rubber grommet is 1/2” inside diameter. Hope this helps

                  Good work Shane!
What is the outside diameter of the rubber washer(grommet)?
The only outside of the canister is the copper crush washer - right? Or did you mean the metal washer above the spring , below the rubber grommet? Is this to seal off the bottom of the cone?

Shane, any automotive store carrys the cooper and rubber washer just have to match them up, 99% of time lower crush cooper washer leaks the rest of items you can reuse

NAPA UP1245 for .516" ID copper crush washer for filter canister bolt. (UP1243's for .453" ID brake hose gasket, while you're there).
