I seem to have misplaced the spare tire lock for my black '65. It'll show up, I think, but I need one for PV on Thursday. I have one I can use from my other '65, but it needs to be re-keyed for the black car. I can get that done by a local locksmith, but I need to get the cylinder out of the lock. I don't want to screw it up, so any hints how to do so would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Re: '65 spare tire lock
Harry, I have the key for the lock (it's the key from the other '65). What I need is to remove the cylinder from the lock, so that I can have the cylinder re-keyed to fit the key for the black car. That way I can use the lock on the black car.

Re: '65 spare tire lock
Tried that. I can only push it in perhaps .12", then when I rotate the key, the clip stays put and the assembly rotates, but won't pop out.Mike
