1967 Corvette Ausco Jacks: were they primed? or was bare metal just painted Black?

Were 1967 Corvette Ausco Jacks painted with primer first and then 2nd-coated with Black?

Or, was the bare metal just painted Black (no primer)?

Also, if they were primed, was gray or red primer used?
    thx,
    Mark

Ausco dipped their jacks in a tank so don't think there was primer under the black paint at all.

      Thanks, Joe,

Hmmmm..so if dipped, I'd imagine there might be a few runs here and there, right?

Also, I've seen a lot of the coarse-threaded screws; metal washers; and white thrust washers unpainted.
So, I'm guessing those parts were not dunked when the other parts of the jack were...any thoughts there?
      thx,
      Mark

The Jacks were not assembled until after they were dipped in the paint. You will notice on most original jacks about half of the threaded rods have paint on them. They hung the jacks with the threaded rods so the nut was painted but the nylon washer and the other two end washers were not painted.

The manufacturers drawing is in our archives. Not sure if a finish is specified on this drawing.

            Thanks, Mark,

Might I be able to get a copy of that?
            How would I do that?
            thx,
