Has anyone had experience with POA valves rebuilt by Original Air Group in Florida or by others?

Re: Rebuilt POA valves
Hope you are prepared to wait. Poor customer service too. I bought a NOS from from Pace Car Jeff on eBay. I used Tampa Jerry before. Do a Google search for him. At one time he work for the other group in Florida. If you have the original dryer they can be rebuilt.- Top

Re: Rebuilt POA valves
Not a Corvette, but a Chevelle POA valve.
In 1998 I bought a 70 Chevelle with factory air which sorta kinda worked. Many of the Chevelle owners said to send it to Classic Auto Air in Tampa.
I removed the complete system from the right firewall area and sent it to them. They rebuilt and restored the entire system, including rebuilding the POA and expansion valves. It now blows 38-40 deg on R12. So Classic Auto Air is the on experience I've had and I can recommend them.
I bought a flush kit from O'Reillys to flush the rest of the system and installed a new dryer.Attached Files- Top

Re: Rebuilt POA valves
Bought an STV (for my '66) on eBay which was advertised to be rebuilt/reconditioned. However leaked badly, and neither eBay or valve supplier were of any help .
Then sent valve to Original Air Group for rebuild. Still had a few issues with valve but the people at Original Air Group have been very good to work with, returning calls and taking the STV back for rework. It is currently at their shop now.
