C2 Rear Strut Bushings Installation Question

Will be installing the #3775762 GM bushings on my original strut rods(1 1/4) diameter. Could not
find an answer to my question upon researching this board. Here Goes>
Should the bushings be pressed in "Dry" or some Oil be applied to the the strut rod? Or perhaps some
modern day lube/penetrant like "CRS Freeze-Off" which makes the metal contract temporary before
returning back to normal be OK? Would this make the job easier? Comments Please>Thanks>Larry

Larry i have always pressed the bushings in after applying a little wheel bearing grease around the bushing and inside the rod. So there is no dry areas. Never had a problem.

I machined a press tool and never had to lube or freeze them. Maybe a little WD40 but the tool applies pressure to the bushing sleeve to press in.

For years I used a large socket and a C clamp to instal bushings and U J s. Eventually I bought a press. A little lube and the slide right in
