Crayon number on passenger side floorboard

I removed the passenger side splash shield to get access to install a clean air tube that was missing and found this number written on the floor area. What does it indicate? Looks like 438. My car is a 64 with Vin 9xxx. Birth date 1/15/64.

that is the "job" number they ran from 1-499 and started over. you should find that number on both doors, the luggage stop, and the bulk head in front of the gas tank

My car was built 3 day later, VIN 9258. Somewhere I have a picture of the the number written on the right side floor board. There should be a matching number written on the right side bulkhead just ahead of the fuel tank.&lt;br /&gt;<br />

My Dec. '62 Convertible had the word (or name) "HALL" written in green crayon on the passenger floorboard in about 4 inch letters.
