    Would this date be correct for a January build 73? 242H40770

      Gary,
      I think the number on your pump is242N40770 and not 242H40770. The 73-74 TIM&JG indicates that your pump is dated the 242nd day of 1974 and therefore would not be correct for a 73 car with a January 73 build. I have a 19,xxx mile '74 454 car with an April 74 build date and the original fuel pump on that car is 007N40770. Coincidentally, I have an NOS pump in the box that has the same number as yours, 242N40770.
