1967 327 oil filter

I am looking for the internal components of the filter. I have the original canister, spring, bolt and copper crush washer, but I feel certain that there must be another piece that would slide down the bolt and be held by the spring against the bottom of the filter element sealing it off so the oil has to go through the filter and not around it.

Is there a vendor that would carry this part?
Is this a swap meet part only?

When I bought this corvette, the first thing I did was change the oil and that’s how I found the filter. I put a spin on adapter at that time but would like make it more stock.

I did this recently . To hold the required cone at the correct location, take care to flatten the tab on the bolt (so that the parts can slide over the tab), but not remove it. Once you are ready to reassemble the parts, raise the tab, then use a self retaining washer to hold everything in place on the bolt below the tab. Thus all the parts stay in place when the bolt and canister are removed to change the filter.
Its easy to take the bolt to the hardware store and select a self retaining washer.

I suggest not chiseling the tab away if possible.
