Just got around to reading the article by Joe Tripoli on radiator fans through the years... and of course had to check that I had the original fans on my cars. I believe I spotted an issue with the fan # and configuration called out for the '72 454 with air conditioning.
A forum search did not return any mentions of the article to see if this has been pointed out:
The article states it should be 3992095 with 914686 J71 date code on all 7 blades.
My 7-blade, pointed tip fan has the 3992095 with 914686 A72 stamped on one blade only. The car is #20284 (~May 3rd) and I've owned it since 1990. Obviously the A72 is a mid-production year date, so earlier cars would likely show the J71 date configuration. Is this a known gap in the data for the article?
