1970 battery compartment cover correct black stain ?7

The cover / door over the battery on my 1970 looks like it is a black flat stain on the underside, mine looks like it had a sticker on it at one time and was pulled off. Anybody know the correct stain or paint to match the factory applied black?
All the stickers go on the passenger side storage compartment door right ?
