    Ralph Haun RIP (photo added)

I just got word that my good friend and travel buddy Ralph Haun, US Army Viet Nam combat veteran, passed away at home in Laguna Beach CAL on March 10, 2022.

He was a long time NCRS, Northern CAL and So CAL Chapter member. He was a 400 level Red Hat (2x) judge specializing in 56-57 cars.

He also routinely sponsored and paid for Judges Breakfasts and Lunches at National Conventions.

Rest In Peace old buddy. 897E0213-8826-4CA8-A21B-928CB411E49D.jpg

Very sad news indeed, Ralph was well known and loved here in California and beyond. His love of Corvettes began early on when he campaigned his first `57 on all of the Southern California drag strips. His affection for `57s continued right up to his passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Diane. RIP Ralph

This is very sad news, Ralph was one of the first people I met when I joined the SoCal chapter, and I always enjoyed seeing him in his "native habitat" on the judging floor, at the tech sessions, and at the dinners at judging meet time. I enjoyed talking with him about Corvettes, and he knew far more than '57s and C1s. He will be missed, we will toast him and say a few prayers at the meet next month, RIP Ralph.

Ralph was more than a Corvette guy. We traveled together in the effort to see who would get to 400 first in 56-57 world. In the after hours we swapped stories of our time in country. Ralph was a true warrior, he led troops up hills and through jungles suffering heavy losses. Ralph loved life and displayed this in his every day life. Diane, we all, who knew both of you feel this loss of a really good man. WELCOME HOME BUDDIE.

Ralph was a good friend who sponosred judges' lunches for years at the Nationals. He took part in the dinner that Dave and Karen Hill sponsored for charity a few years ago. We had some great conversations over the years. RIP and condolences to Diane. RIP Ralph.

Ralph loved judging 56-57's and he did it for years. He grew up with them, owned and raced them and always sent great car stories, I think I received a great one not long ago, I will miss him and that great smile he always had. RIP Ralph, my prayers and condolences to your family!

Met Ralph many years ago in SoCal. He loved '57's and had a beautiful '67 427 that I had the pleasure of judging at a Chapter Meet held at GMDownunder. He loved other cars too - bought my old '32 Ford coupe from a friend of mine a few years ago. Thoughts and prayers for his loved ones.
