1990 Corvette ZR1

I just purchased a 90 with 63 original miles from the original owner. Although filthy, the vehicle is in beautiful condition and will clean up like new. It hasn't been started in 30 years so, it will go to Marc Haibeck for what he calls a "gentle awakening."
I will have the car in my possession within the next few weeks and plan on taking all the time I need to document everything before any cleaning begins.
It retains its assembly line oil and air filters, as well as dated battery. The window sticker(s) is still in place.

what a fantastic specimen Mark! I look forward to seeing more pictures as you bring it back to life. I have been looking for a similar car but a 94 or 95 if anyone knows of a car that needs a new loving owner.

Why a 94 or 95? Conversation with Dave McLellan re C4 ZR1 was that earlier production got more attention than later.

Delamination of front screen is typically THE issue. Dave stated best thing you could do for that LT5 was to run it - often!

Don't know if Gordon Killebrew still has his "Gordon's School" in operation, but one course was exclusively devoted to LT5 and ZR1. Would be well worth anyone's time if you owned/worked on one.

Mark, outstanding find. The only item in my 93 ZR was two small o-rings that are housed in the air conditioning small manifold on the forward drivers side. If you fire it up and no freon escapes you are golden. Rubber products suffer the ageing process. If you have never driven one,
once you turn the OMG valet on, hold on to the steering wheel, it is a real beast but a load of fun. If you don't have the book Heart of the Beast find one, you will enjoy every chapter, the car is a part of Corvette history.

I've been a 2nd generation ZR1 fan for a long time and have owned several. We currently have another 90 ZR1 with 44 original miles.
