As I understand there was to be a virtual board meeting yesterday. Does anyone know what came out of it?

Re: Board Meeting Yesterday
On March 11, 2022, your Board of Directors conducted (via Zoom) the previously scheduled executive session meeting where ongoing NCRS matters were addressed by your Board. The next Board of Directors meeting open to ALL membership will be on Friday July 29, 2022, at the National Convention in Mobile. It will begin at 7am in the Renaissance Hotel Grand Bay Ballroom. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

There you have it Gary, that meeting was none of your (or my) business, go to the one at the National and ask questions if you don't understand or agree with the actions taken.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

To the contrary, please voice any concerns to your regional representative/director, as it is their job to bring any and all matters before the Board on your behalf, just as occurred yesterday.

OK, I'll give it a try and ask Ralph what the agenda was and what happened. He certainly has never shared any of that kind of thing with me before, but maybe things are different now.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: Board Meeting Yesterday
My problem with asking my Regional Director is that she is the President -Shannon Urton.
No information forthcoming.
For the record, I am very displeased on how the she attained her position; she has NEVER been elected to her position as Regional Director.
Bylaws need to be changed to control / monitor this type of situation again.- Top

Re: Board Meeting Yesterday
I have been reading the posts related to this issue in the various threads that were started and I want to thank all of the members that took the time to bring this issue to light. By and large as long as the club remains primarily focused on the survivor/original or correctly restored Corvettes I am a happy camper. On the other hand I find it strange that the new President has not taken the time to address the members through this forum on what she sees as the direction of the club in the future especially in light of the "controversial" way she was elected. I mean a short blurb on where she will take the club in the future is called for. And asking our Regional Director or waiting for the next issue of the Corvette Restorer Magazine (due in June/July) or even waiting until the Convention in late July is not an option; this is after all the 21st Century and while those means of communication with the members was acceptable in the 80's, times have changed and people expect a little more instant communication. We have this wonderful forum where you can communicate with the members and I have to wonder why you are not using it. That being said and since Ms. Urton is obviously monitoring this thread, since she has replied at least twice in it, I'll ask some direct questions that I hope you will respond to:
Now that you are president of the NCRS what was your motive for seeking the presidency and what direction do you want to take club in the future?
Will the emphasis remain on preserving and documenting original and survivor Corvettes and the correct restoration of Corvettes?
Will the NCRS remain the authority on the correctness of Corvette Restorations?
What are your plans to improve the club in the future?
Nobody likes change and when changes happen suddenly and without notice it makes people nervous. A lot of that nervousness can be put to rest with a bit of instant communication directly from the new President without having to wait until July.Bill Strobel
