    C2 A/C duct repair

I am looking for suggestions on repair of the driver side duct on my 1965 factory air convertible.

i Would like a functional repair that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, but reasonably simple.

it seems that finding a comparable bit of black plastic might work- not sure how to source that.

    Thanks.A3EAF3E9-163E-4605-B6B3-D755BA9FF161.jpg

The plastic is thinner than non-A/C ducts. Here is a broken one on eBay, make an offer....

Make a thin cardboard piece to fit the hole, trace it onto the plastic part, Dremel it out and superglue it in. It's like working with egg shells.

        Can that be painted easily?

          John,
Yes, it will paint easy. You just have to color match. I have used fillers to hide the repair also.

            John,

You might try Q-Bond Ultra Strong Adhesive produced by K Tool International. Would suggest you get some plastic as Harry noted and use this adhesive. You can get the adhesive from Amazon. I've used it with good results.
