    69 Louver Trim color

plan to repaint my original louver trim since paint is pretty worn at this point. Does anyone know the correct color for this? I can have it color matched but its so faded I don't think i will get the correct "new" factory color.

The color is Silver. Maybe like the 69 wheel color???

    Thanks for the help,

    Mark

    Mark,

If you are referring to the side trim that attaches to the vertical fins, it was finished in stainless steel. Option TJ2. If the car does not have this option, then the side louvers are painted body color. I hope I answered your question and that you were referring to the bright trim on the side of the front fenders.

i remember the color on my 69 as argent silver with the chrome edges . That was back in 74 and they were never touched.

Argent silver is the correct color. That is not the color of the 69 wheels which are called Argent Silver but have a distinctive green tint. Actually the Argent Silver sold by most of the Corvette Vendors is the correct color since most do not have any green. They are just silver.

Yes Thanks. the argent silver should be correct. I have a few different brands and doing spray out cards to match one trim piece that is in very good shape. I also have the wheel paint with the green tint and for kicks i'll do a spray out of that too just to see. I'll let you know..

          Appreciate everyone's feedback
