    C3 Brakes?

I know the subject of lip seals vs O rings has been discussed here quite a bit, but....
I have just acquired a 1969 L68 that is very near period correct and I am going to try to keep it that way as much as possible.
With that said, I want it to be SAFE, too.
Is there any point deduction for judging for any brake upgrades? If I go to Orings? If I swap calipers are there casting numbers I need to be considering? If I go to aluminum calipers? I have ordered the judging info, but I want to get to work on the brakes before it arrives so I can drive the thing a bit! The drivers rear is leaking pretty badly.
Also, what about shocks, any point deduction for installing KYBs?

I would recommend using o-rings; the type of seal is undetectable. When judged, the casting numbers, and if visible, the stamped dates on the caliper are checked. If your calipers are original to the car, I recommend rebuilding them with o-rings. Lone Star Calipers has an "NCRS" service that restores your calipers with the original black finish and bare machined surfaces. Their "regular" service are exchange calipers painted grey all over.

No advantage to aluminum calipers other than a nominal weight savings.

      Renzo
welcome to the club and TDB..
KYB shocks would receive a full deduction of Originality, and Condition points. Significantly dissimilar from original Delcos.

Are you asking about Lone Star Caliper? http://lonestarcaliper.com
It looks like their website is undergoing maintenance today, but their phone number and email are listed.
