I have had the distinct privileged of inspecting some Far Eastern made C-2 headlight motors. I certainly hope that these do not represent the quality of the typical parts. One would not even turn with power applied. I managed to get it moving but have determined the bushings are installed incorrectly.
On original motors the output gear that turns the headlight bucket shaft is aluminium and distorts or strips very easily. This set has plastic gears. I know plastic technology has come a long way but I doubt far enough for these to be reliable long term.
Bottom line is that for a asking price of $349 each --- buy some originals and have them restored.
Oddly enough in our 5 part judging process they only loose 40%
Finish is correct
Date - NO DATE --- -20%
Installation is correct
Configuration - So many errors I loose count -- -20%
Complete - It is complete
Operations --- crap shoot at best
Just my 2 cents worth (and in my opinion they are so bad they should be a full deduct)
