    67 Temperature Sending Unit

Have searched the archives for recommendation, but am more confused than ever. What is the consensus for the most accurate temp sending unit for the 67 year? My gauge tests just fine, but the sender seems to be shorted out.
    Many thanks for any opinions.

Aftermarket or used original? I would buy a good, used AC Delco original. Possibly contact Dave Sokoloski in California and inquire about an original one.

Most of your local parts houses should stock new AC Delco units for around $20. They can and do vary in accuracy. Last time I bought three of them to try and get the most accurate. The first one I installed (no pipe tape) worked out perfectly. Returned the other two. Kind of trial and error even with a NOS piece.

Good used original sending units give you the most accurate reading.
