    C1 Shocks

    Any suggestions for the best source for standard shocks for a '62 to maximize correctness without spending much of what I've saved for retirement?

          I used the AC Delco 520-297 and 520-284 hoping that would help with some of the originality points. They are very stiff and I found out later these are gas shocks.
          There are a couple of references that say the gas shocks are stiffer than needed for a smooth ride in a C1 and to use oil shocks if possible. Others will say the gas shocks are fine.
