1969 Cooper Radiator Upper Mounting for 427
According to the AIM the top radiator support brackets are attach with 3 Int/Ext tooth star washers and 1 flat/lock washer setup. I have seen some restoration photos where a flat washer was used under the 3 int/ext tooth star washers. I was wondering which is correct, the way it is shown in the AIM with the star washers only or should there be a flat washer under each of the 3 star washers. Also when I try to use the attaching clips that go through the foam on the radiator support they hit the tanks and hold the radiator away from the support. Any help would be appreciated.
