    1968 Voltage Regulator Attaching Hardware

I have an April '68 Corvette and want to ask owners what is their voltage regulator attaching hardware? I have one stud in lower front that was affixed into the fiberglass....think it might have a 3/8 head (missing) and stud looks original. The other hardware installed ended up being 10mm bolt/nut so I know that's not correct. I do not think the reproduction rubber wellnuts and bolts are correct but that is what the supply houses carry. And, I did not see anything in my version of the judging manual. Thanks for your help.

The 'Sound of Freedom' if not a UH-60 Blackhawk, then it must be a Corvette!

Some C3 guys will chime in, for sure, but I know in '67 the rubber well nuts were used and, I believe, they were used through the '68 model year.

Indented hex head bolt with flanged washer. See attached picture, not the best, but...

        Gary,
It appears, in your picture, that there are rubber well nuts in the fender that the hex head bolts are threaded into. Yes??

My 68 has 2 holes for the well nuts but there is one stud on the lower front which looks original and integrated in the fiberglass. Thanks for the help so far.

Short answer is yes. It looks like a #10-24 thread. A few pictures. Inside the fender shows the tab that holds the stud and the two rubber well-nuts. Other picture show's the nut on engine compartment side.
