TI Module Fender mount position 1969 427

As I continue to detail the body of my 69 I see that the holes in the front fender for mounting the TI module are such that the orientation results in the fins being in a horizontal position. Although I see nothing on this in JM I do see the diagram in the Assembly Manual that looks like the orientation should be vertical, i.e. fins vertical.

Is there a "correct" mounting position? These holes appear factory made but since I am judging the car I would like to make it correct before putting body back on the chassis.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Mark

Attached is a picture of the holes in the inner fender panel, from the wheel side. This is a K09 (June 9th) dated car.

      Hope this helps.
