First time post on the Discussion Board... I have a '66 Coupe in my sights to purchase that is claimed to have been judged at the National level in 2008. Is there any way to find the judging sheets from that event?

Jeffery, Welcome to NCRS! You can get the award confirmed for a fee through NCRS but I don't think that includes the sheets. Hopefully they are still with the car. One important question would be how long ago was the judging? I would strongly recommend you have a knowledgeable person inspect the car before purchase. Good luck, Don H.- Top

Ideally, sheets and the judging certificate/ribbon should be available for viewing.
As Don mentioned, 2008 was some time ago.
Many cars which judged well in the past can have issues later on, as we learn more about production and revise the manuals.B.D.

Re: Newbie: 1966 Coupe Flight Judging Research
In addition to what Don and Brian say above, it seems very odd to me that a car that went to the National does not have at least copies of the judging sheets in the documentation (let alone the originals).
I would press the seller expressing that you want all available documentation (originals definitely preferred).
If documentation is limited, I would be asking why that is? - or what happened to it?
Good luck on your search and potential purchase!thx,

Re: Newbie: 1966 Coupe Flight Judging Research
Thanks for all the quick responses. Judging sheets on this car may be available from the 2008 National event but not mentioned specifically in the documentation - that's why I wanted to see if there was a proactive way to attain them before purchase. National Top Flight certificate is available as well as TF certificates from earlier Regional and Chapter events and some judging sheets mentioned. Looks legitimate so far. Yes, I am taking a fellow NCRS former judge with me to inspect the car.- Top

To be judged at the National level it would have to be judged at a Chapter or Regional level in that owners name. You can't jump directly to a National meet with any car not judged in your name prior to the National. There should be a record of two judging events.- Top

Re: Newbie: 1966 Coupe Flight Judging Research
In addition to what Tim said, the judging sheets are sent to the owner with the certificate about three weeks after the event. I would not think any judging sheets are copied and held by NCRS. At the Chapter, Regional and National meets I've run we never kept any.
