    Joe,

    I just measured and it is 0.50". The more I look at it, the more I think the bend was not caused by contact with the fork. I think the mechanic that installed the flywheel and clutch may have bent it.

      It appears to me that the clutch arm is incorrect for the application. The arm is too far into the bell housing and would never clear the lip on the throw out bearing. As someone suggested, the lip was bent during assy to allow the arm to move. The "loop" in the arm should be large enough to clear the lip......
      Check out the "loop" clearance in the attached photo. 1967 BB clutch.

        I’d like to see photos of the entire clutch fork.

        The 1956-62 Corvette clutch fork is very similar to the 1964-81 Corvette clutch forks but they are not interchangeable. So, if someone mistakenly used the earlier fork in a later application a problem could very well ensue due to the slight angularity and dimensional differences.
