    convertible top fastening bolts

While installing my convertible top on my 66, I noticed that 2 of my 3/8x24 nuts were stripped. I put in longer bolts and used nuts on the bolts to tighten it. This is a good fix but does not solve the problem Any suggestions on repairing/fixing as per original?
    Thanks
    Mel

I had a stripped hole at that location and used a Heli Coil. I did this about 10 years ago and it's still working.

        Bob
I just used the Heli Coil kit to repair my striped threads. THANKS for the help. It worked great.
