1966 Glove Box Lock B4 stamping. Info requested

In my bag of spare stuff that came with my 1966 Vette I have a Glove Box Lock (complete casing and cylinder) without a key.

It appears to be chromish/polished steel and stamped "B 4" on the back. To my eye it appears to be on
the older side based on the key entrance area.

I looked thru Discussions/Forums/ online searching etc) but did not see anything about a B4 stamped glove box lock.

Would appreciate any info on a B4 lock.
