    Safe Transport?

Sorry, this is not a "technical" question, per se....but does anyone have experience with a high-quality vehicle transport company? I just bought a C3 427/6pk and I want to get her home safely!
Thanks to those that replied on my birdcage thread, took your advice and dumped that one and found this MUCH NICER one instead!
    Merry Christmas and HNY folks!

Renzo, I have used Intercity many times. Absolutely dependable. They treat the car as if it was their own and you can maintain cell contact with the driver.

Any of the big name auto transports are good. Be careful of going through a broker as you dont know who will transport your car.

And remember: Chrysler offered a 6 Pack; you have Tri-Power.

We've used Reliable to haul cars to our Texas Regional for a number of years now. I just bought a 1967 435 out of Wisconsin and wasn't about to take any chances with an original paint car, so I called again on Reliable. It took longer than I hoped for, but they use tire straps and they are good folks. If it's a good car, pay for good transport.

Thats ben my problem with Reliable. I was told that since the are tied in with the big 3 & the auction houses that the rest of us that ship have to wait behind them.

My 'past' experience with Intercity Transport (2008, 2013) was very good. Used Reliable in late 2019 to haul a 65 396 Roadster and that turned out well too. I bought a 66 L72 Roadster in Florida just this last July and contacted both companies and a couple others and was told it would be at least a few weeks before they could handle the transport. I signed up with Reliable but after about a month of waiting, looked elsewhere and got a lead for a small Restoration Shop down in Mesa who were going to be hauling customers cars back to Virginia/Kentucky in their tandem enclosed trailer. Checked on them and signed up. Had the 66 here about '3' weeks later. If I wind up buying another car in the future, I will still check with the large companies first but am also open to other means of transport...while avoiding Brokers.
                Good luck.

I have had over a dozen hauls mostly of 1,000 miles or more and have had no issues with Reliable or Passport Transport (now FedEx). Good Luck! Steve

Many hauls of my 62 Gulf Oil racer by Intercity (back when show promoters paid the freight in order to have the car there). Intercity was fabulous.

We've used Intercity and Passport (most recently) with great result.

Page at SPLP Transport. Shipped my 70LT-1 from California to NJ for under 2K in 2019. Great to deal with. Driver called with up dates during the entire trip.

One thing I can assure you is shipping costs have increased.
