A friend and I are doing a frame swap on a 66. Some previous owner has already converted to power brakes dual master cylinder. The MC is an aftermarket 67 style (but does not have the 67 upper bleeders). We are going to install all new brake lines, fuel lines, etc. on this new frame.
So I'm looking for information on what are the options.
1. I think we can simply install 67 brake lines, but we would need to add the distribution block and the short brake lines from the distribution block to the MC.
2. The standard 66 brake lines for power brakes connect direction to the 66 style power brake MC, but I do not know if they will fit to the 67 style MC.
3. I know CSSB make a conversion kit, but that involves cutting the brake line and installing a union. This kit is really made for a body on conversion. So my inclination is not to use this.
Is there any reason we cannot use the 67 brake lines and distribution block? If so, I'm assuming that I would use the 67 power brake line set?
Will the 66 power brake lines fit to the 67 style MC, fitting and length. If these are long enough then I would not need the distribution block?
Thanks,
Don
