    A/C condensers

Was going to buy a new refridgerator because it wasn't cooling, then remembered that the condensers get dirty. Cleaned it and all is good.
Point is that the one on the car is in front of the radiator and gets all the bugs and crap. I would bet you could clean one and get things a bit cooler inside the car.

Also make sure you clean or wash out the area between the condenser and the radiator. If this area gets dirt and debris build up it will cause over heating problems.

          Gary,
So right, I try to pressure wash in both directions . need good air between both. Funny how we forget things so simple.
My refer at the shop went sour till I washed it a few years ago. Now it frezzes all on low. Also the house A/C units get a good wash.
I was wondering (in the house why the floor was so warm and the refer was always running! Electric bill was high.
It's not easy taking care of our cars and house!

Be careful when using a pressure washer. If the pressure is to high you can bend the fins

About 15 years ago we had a brutal love bug season here in eastern Florida. My pickup and SUV were so bad I had to remove the grilles on both to get the bugs off the condensers and flushed from the engine bay with a garden hose.

I called it "black snow". After that experience that's when I put bug screens on them until the season was over.

P.S. check your C6's too. The lower air dam collects road debris and you'll find the condensers loaded with leaves, rocks, etc. Pain to clean those too.

+ another. In my refrigeration service work I love dirty condensers. Very profitable, very simple fix

                  bill,
your right about the high pressure. You have to know how far and what your are doing! Soaking with a garden hose works well with a hand pressure washer run by air. I am careful to how far I use my gas washer. Also best to back wash after all is soaked.
As you pointed out, you can cause more damage than good.
Tom, Yep, did a few and where they get all that lint is beyond me! Should be a scheduled mtc.
