Re: Charlie Bacon RIP
I met Charlie in 1972 racing my 62 Fawn Beige car up the mountain Hwy 18 . I lived in Big Baar and he in Running Springs. One of my great friends. 4 great daughters, and Jeanne is wife since 1965 loved cars and everything Charlie did. A bunch of us shared his POMONA SWAP spot for many years.
I miss you my friend........Over 80 Corvettes of fun ! Love Rochester Fuel Injection 57-65 cars. Love CORVETTE RACE CARS

Re: Charlie Bacon RIP
Just saw this right now and it saddens me deeply. Although I only knew Charlie for 13 or so years I came to respect him greatly. Someone mentioned honest earlier and it is true. He would tell you or anyone else how he felt and more likely he knew more about Corvettes than most of us put together. Condolences to Jeanie and the girls.

Re: Charlie Bacon RIP
Met Charlie many years ago (couple of years before he moved up the street to that beautiful log cabin) and visited him and Jeanne every year when we were in CA escaping the KS winters. Bought a '57 ('65 FI motor) from him years ago. I always admired his work on building C1 and C2 restomods. I talked to Jeanne a few weeks ago and told her we were looking forward to our visit in January - that's when he told me about Charlie's decline. Got the dreaded call the next Saturday. Man, I'm going to miss seeing him again. RIP Charlie and thoughts and prayers to the family.- Top
