Paint on stamp deck

I have a 65 in my shop for some cleaning and refurbishment. It's a 365 hp engine with what looks to be all of the original engine paint. Have you seen paint of the deck before? I have not, but suppose anything is possible. The engine still has the assembly line intake gaskets in it. I am just curious more than anything.......always learning!

Can see more orange on pad also, Below the FO near edge, then in the 2nd 0 and 8, little just below the H
Consider an owner just refreshed the orange and painted the whole are including pad.
Know that's how mine got painted.

Looks like the original engine, probably never has been out of the car, just like the one in my '64 white/tan L84 tanker. Check for dates on the bearings when you open it up, mine showed the matching dates. There should also be another chalk mark on the back of the other head, sequence number, as mine has:PassHeadMark.jpg
